Wandering through life
as a
Peace Corps Volunteer

Hujambo!

As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Africa, my role is "Behavior Change Communicator".  From January 2007 until December 2007, I worked with 250 deaf students at a school for the deaf  and the deaf community in Kenya.  I taught HIV/AIDS Prevention, Reproductive Health, and Life Skills.  I was to continue my volunteer work through December 2008, but due to political unrest in Kenya, my service was interrupted.

From January 2008 until May 2008, I was in the following areas visiting with family and friends:

Cape Town, South Africa
San Francisco Bay Area, California
San Diego, California
Tampa, Florida
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
London, United Kingdom
Dublin, Ireland
and back in Kenya.

In May 2008, as a re-instated Peace Corps volunteer, I will begin a new assignment in Zambia, Southern part of Africa.  Read my blog to get recent updates.

I bring with me from the San Francisco Bay Area experiences as a HIV/AIDS Educator, working with people who are Deaf/Blind, and as a guidance counselor at California School for the Deaf in Fremont.

Feel free to visit my blog where you can enjoy my entries.  I’ve displayed some of my work in the Portfolio page.  Resume is posted here as well.  I welcome e-mail from you and would enjoy corresponding.

May Peace Be With You!
